Rock's Grill & Pizzeria in Fairfax offers a straightforward, no-frills stop for travelers and locals needing a quick bite combined with gas station convenience. This spot blends several roles—restaurant, grill, bakery, deli, pizza takeaway, and gas station—making it a practical choice when you’re on the road through this small Oklahoma town.

The atmosphere here is functional and clean, reflecting its dual purpose as both a food stop and a service station. Inside, the space feels modest and unpretentious, with staff who tend to be friendly and ready to help, especially useful if you’re navigating detours or unfamiliar roads around Fairfax.

The menu covers classic American comfort food with a local touch. If you stick to the basics like their burgers—available with several cheese options or bacon—and their made-to-order pizzas, you’ll find satisfying portions and familiar flavors. The unique burger topped with peanut butter and candied jalapenos hints at some creativity on the kitchen side that people in the area seem to appreciate. Salads are customizable with a variety of meats and toppings, perfect if you want a lighter option without sacrificing choice.

Food is priced with the eat-in or takeout traveler in mind, though some local diners note that portion sizes and prices might lean on the higher side for certain items like chicken tenders. Still, for those passing through, paying a bit more for freshly prepared food is a trade-off many find worthwhile.

For locals and visitors alike, Rock’s functions as a dependable mid-route stop. It’s best suited for those looking to quickly refuel both their vehicle and themselves without venturing far. While the experience is far from upscale dining, items like their apple pie show there’s some solid bakery focus if you want a sweet finish to your meal or something to take on the road.

Visitors shouldn’t expect a standout dining atmosphere but rather the kind of place where helpful conversations and straightforward food come together. It’s particularly welcoming for those who value practical service and down-to-earth hospitality over style. Morning or early afternoon stops might work best when the kitchen is freshly stocked and the pace is manageable, giving you a moment’s respite on your journey through Fairfax.

Found this spot due to running out of gas due to several road closures in the area. Clean inside, very polite and helpful staff. Gave me directions to get back on track to my destination ( Google maps worthless) and completely understanding. Small town folks with huge hearts are priceless. If you happen to be in the area and need a gas/ food stop this is the spot.

I had heard the food was great, and i was not disappointed. I had the burger with peanut butter, bacon, and candied jalapenos, and it was delicious. My friend had the chicken fried steak and thought it was really good. She said it was thin and cripy, which she really liked. I would definitely eat here again if in this area.

The food was decent, but pricey. They weigh food, so my 2 small thin tenders were $2 each. They do cook some of items to order, which is great. It was a great little stop during our travels.

In Towners call it Red Devil... But, best two words, comfort food.. Best Fried Chicken since Eisehens, Burger baskets are cheap, and cooked with good ingredients, and good buns, Pizza yoo the pizza is off the hook, Hillbilly Hooligan fully endorses the supreme...
